Hey all,
I finally got around to uploading the code for the Lowbots! game I was working on. You can play it here!
Hey all,
I finally got around to uploading the code for the Lowbots! game I was working on. You can play it here!
June and I went to hike the camino de santiago in spain. We started in Porto, Portugal. We drank tons of port and ate some really tasty food. We also camped right next to the beach and cooked lots of ramen. June especially liked the pastries in Portugal:

Every time we passed a pastry shop, she made that face. I love it. :)
Day 3 was the last day of getting over the headaches and my body generally disliking not having carbs anymore. I also finally rid myself of the aspartame in coke zero, which I think helped get rid of the headaches.
Breakfast – Bacon Spinach Omlette
Basically the same as last night, except I added spinach. I forgot to take a picture :(
Lunch – Shrimp Kebabs These were pretty good. Not as good as the chicken for dinner, but ok. I didn’t eat the carrots, june did :)

Dinner – Chicken Kebabs
Basically the same as lunch, but with a different sauce. Actually, this sauce was WAAAY tastier than the other one in my opinion. Also, I brushed the kebabs with the sauce about three times, which helped a lot I think.
I….also forgot to take a picture of this.
Totals for the day were:
Calories – 1840
Carbs – 43
Second day went well, although I had a slip up and didnt really calculate much about the amount of carbs going into the skewers, which turned out to be a lot more carbs than i though. also the hummus turned out to have a lot more carbs than I thought.
Thought I would start publishing what I eat to keep myself accountable, and to remember what I liked eating, what sugar I really get a good amount of happiness from, and what is just going down the drain and wasted calories/carbs.
so short and sweet, here is what I ate:
Breakfast – Mushroom, Spinach, and Cheese Omlette

Lunch – Sausage and Mushroom mix W/ Salad
So today there were a lot of eggs I guess. The totals for today were
Calories – 1942
Carbs – 8.15
I felt pretty good about today, although I had a major headache.
It seems like every time I figure out how to make something work, Marc needs something even more obscure :)
This time, Marc wanted to be able to enable the permalinks option on wordpress for reasons that at the time I did not understand. Maybe because it is more standard? Maybe because it is prettier. At least for his other website, it will be necessary to enable permalinks in order to get the theme for topspin (music integration) working as it wants to send people to “domain.com/stores” instead of “domain.com/?p=whatever”
So I tried several different fixes on the internet, the one that ended up working for me was this one:

You can check out his site and all its working links at mrac.us
Ok! on to the music website, and trying to get that to work.
I have been programming for about a day straight on a game that marcus and I have become addicted to with a friend named Miju. We finally got a copy working, sort of. We need to add more robots, and we need to make the random wall functions to change a little bit, but, we pretty much have one robot moving around. How awesome is that!! hopefully we will have something that people can actually play soon. So, specs that we included are as follows:
-there are only four targets in each quadrant
-the center cant by entered by the robot
-there are walls that are randomly places around the targets
-the outside boundaries also have two walls sticking out, one per side of the quadrant
-the robot goes until it hits something
the things we need to implement:
-more robots
-when you get to a target, it actually tells you you win
-robots are walls that can stop other robots
